Just in:
Received this in an email from the pass bureau (paraphrased)
"Employees can't use their non-rev pass bennies to travel for any personal business, side business or any business reason outside of XJT. This includes, but is not limited to, travel related to at house sales ventures such as Mary Kay, job interviews at other companies (!?), etc."

So how am I supposed to get to my sister's Mary Kay party in Des Moines?

wow very constructive....... There was a time not long ago when both pilot groups were unified, I think we are still there but our mec's aren't... I have told my elected reps that I am tired of the bull**** and only want to hear about progress and not infighting... comments like this do nothing to help you, your co workers and the people that will come to the airline after you move on.

With all this talk of shrinkage, what about all these new aircraft orders for skywest Inc. ? They have to go somewhere. I guess it's possible they all go to skywest, but unlikely. Are they playing the wipsaw game with those because of the negotiations?

Yes. We are in the punishment phase right now. They told us that if we voted down the concessionary TA we will have a static fleet plan. They are parking existing aircraft as their leases or CPA expire.

In the meantime, the warden keeps playing nice with the favored inmates and gives them all the aircraft. It's too bad those inmates don't see the injustice of a concessionary contract and don't help us against our warden. They'd lose the warden's graces though so they turn their back on their fellow inmates instead.

And the whipsaw continues.

Then whenever we do vote in a contract, things may change? Not to say I will bend to bullying. No pay, no fly. But just curious what happens after a ratified agreement.

.
If it was going to be any different if we voted for the TA, they could have just included a guarantee of new aircraft in the TA. They didn't so I can only conclude they'd never intended to give us new planes ... ever.

In the meantime we still getting paid more $$ to fly these planes.

Our current contract is already millions more expensive than Skywest's. We won't vote in a concessionary contract. So any new contract we do vote in will be even more expensive. So I don't see us getting any new flying either way. We are held hostage by the inmates on the other side of the prison.
