Its not a question of more or less responsibility. It's a question of ability to live with the consequences of one's actions. Your emotional and continued justification of what you think is right belies your maturity level.

I seriously hope you aren't representing the pilot group... you are entirely too emotional.

Never said that. You are so desperate to be right you are assuming I'm calling you wrong... I haven't disagreed with anything you've assumed.

Do you disagree with any of that? If not, then I did misunderstand.

I agree with your right to form your own opinion. You have to decide the limit of your responsibility for yourself. "Moral business" is a bit of an oxymoron, which sounds much more flippant than I honestly intend.

What is XJT 401K match? What is your sick and vacation accrual rate? What are your insurance premiums? What is your per diem as well?

There is not. Theoretically, UAL could allow the leases to expire, then re-lease them to SkyWest or ASA under a new CPA. The current XJT contract has practically no scope protections, and the TPA only prohibits a direct aircraft transfer.

Actually, if you ever bothered to read the ALPA Constitution&Bylaws, you would know that an LEC (member) can NOT mandate an MEC member. The MEC members (also ALPA BOD members) are the highest governing body in the union, and they are autonomous to make decisions they feel are in the best interests of their pilot group and the Association. The only recourse the LEC (you) have is to organize a recall.
I suppose you think your Congressman should call thousands of constituents every time he has to make an important decision too? LMAO!!!!

Apples and oranges. The UAW workers were grossly overpaid for the job they did. Knocking together crappy GM cars for $73 an hour plus lavish benefits and pensions? They made more than just about any regional pilot. We are already grossly underpaid, and mgmt wants us to make even less when demand for our skills is at an all-time high? FUPM!
