Oh, good. I'll just stick to threads with SkyWest in the title and develop tunnel syndrome. Thanks! And dont let me catch you posting in any of those threads either. If you want to be childish about it. Cool?

It's a stupid analogy because you're NOT in prison. You're an employee for a company based in a right to work state. You can get out any time you want to. Please hurry. Free yourself "Nevets".

Well at least you have the option to stay where you are. Most people get furloughed or laid off at least once in their careers and its never at an ideal time.
If I were you I would sit tight, stay where you are, keep sending your apps, and keep your eyes and ears open.
F.O.'s are getting calls at the majors, just like captains with TPIC and college degrees aren't.
The only scenario where I would start over at the bottom of another regional would be if I'd been sat on the shelf for a while and need to get current again, or the other regional was hiring street captains.
Things are happening fast in this industry right now. Those of us who are current and qualified just need to be patient.

As they say here in Georgia, "don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya".

The question is how long to wait. We aren't getting any younger. Me personally I would like to start a family soon. I don't want to start a family when I'm 40. I can't start one now bc I don't make enough money, I have high student loans and my girlfriend is in the same boat. I don't know how long I can be patient and wait while this job takes away the simple things in life because I want to fly for the majors. Hopefully we all have a chance soon with all of the jobs that are opening up. I think most of us will have a shot, but this waiting game here at Expressjet with no light at the end of the tunnel for the past 6 years and the foreseeable future, is getting old.

Sorry man, 7 + as an FO at a regional airline with no opportunity to upgrade for years isn't a best case scenario. If MOST have it worse well I really missed something I guess.
