I’m still trying to understand why we need a practice system bid. We don’t have practice monthly or vacation bids. Maybe I’m missing something though.

To try to get a very rough idea of where you will fit percentage wise. Gives me a chance to look at the lines guys my seniority are holding in specific seats. It is not perfect because the top 100 guys like to pretend the are going to bid 75 Rt seat. I guess they are too old to get their jollies elsewhere . One would be enough, but since we tend to have massive bids once a year, I like the practice.

I agree, why practice. Since you can bid in 5% increments, you know where you will fall out at worst. Want to know what kind of lines you can hold, just look at the last few monthly bid awards and see what the guys at your seniority are holding.

This is exactly my process any time we are expecting some kind of news on PFC.

You guys know you don’t have to click on the practice right?

If I don't, how will I know if I can hold that 75 right seat?

Just once I'd like to see one of those guys have a minor issue that kept them away from the computer for 5-10 days and let them get that 75 right seat that they "practice bid" for. Now that would give me my jollies. Ha!

Since this is the first bid under the new Sec. 24 I wouldn’t be surprised if it was several days before they post the results of the practice bid...
