FedEx "not for everyone"?

Been at a regional for about two years now. Had law enforcement meet the airplane once for a disruptive passenger. I have had two flight attendants that were so bad I could not get out of the plane fast enough on day 4. One of which had a reputation for accusing other crew members of being drunk. One such incident caused a 3 hour delay and involved a friend of a friend. The pax asking where baggage claim is doesn't bother me much. I do wonder why they approach the gate when I am standing nearby asking for a seat assignment. Do you ever see pilots doing gate agent duties? Something nice about cargo is not having to worry about your gate being occupied or not having ground crew present. To me, things just seem less hectic across the airport on the cargo ramp.

You’ve obviously found what works for you, and that’s great! Some of us really can’t stand pax airline BS, which makes cargo a good fit. I’ve flown 121 pax for almost a decade, and I’m glad to never do it again.
I do find it odd that you’re apparently totally happy at (presumably) SWA, yet keep looking at and posting in FedEx threads.

Saw the add on to your post.. No I'm not interested in FDX at all. I use tapatalk and the timeline doesn't discriminate on what posts pop up in recent posts. I just happened to look at what someone said and was compelled to share my perspective. That is all. I do agree that FDX is a great company and wish you and my friends there no ill will. Cheers!

" I feel like garbage when my sleep gets too screwed up.."
You answered your own question in the Original Post.
If you don't mind feeling like "garbage" for the better part of the rest of your Life ( which will be a shortened one ) and if, Money is your priority in this World ....Go for it.

I'm glad that there is something for everyone and it's great everyone has the opportunity to get to what works for them. I'll always recommend to all my buddies to go to the first airline that calls them, then make decisions. If they can live in base then go to that airline, if they have to commute then go to FedEx. However, whether I had to deal with pax or not never even entered my decision matrix...it all came down to who called first. Then when another airline called that allowed me to sit short call at home, I went there. Had FDX called first, I would have went there...and probably still left to be home based. I think anyone will be able to find something that will work for them at any airline that hires them. All this chest pounding about not flying nights or not dealing with pax is idiotic.
That said, much like how the media hypes up how terrible things are in the world, I think this is overblown. 99.9% of the time people are decent, respectful and thoughtful. If there is a pax issue at the gate, we call someone to take care of it. If we're taxiing, the FAs deal with it and we go back to the gate and let someone else deal with it. If we're flying and we need to divert, the FAs deal with it until we get to the gate then let the cops deal with it. It 2 of the 3 instances, I'll likely end up with more pay.
I've flown 2 legs in the last 45 days.

Agreed, been updating regularly since 2012 and nada. I’m still hopeful it will happen.

Here's what we all have to agree on.....there is a little something for everyone, whether you like pax or boxes......whatever floats your boat.....but the airline industry has changed dramatically in my 23 years.....pax AND cargo. Plusses and minuses for both. Here's what you gotta do:
1.Make sure your spouse can put up with whichever lifestyle you choose.
2. Keep spouse until retirement and hopefully until death.
Thats what it all boils down to.

Other than the A Plan, there absolutely no reason I would choose FedEx over any of the Big 3s. And yes, it’s a great company, with great people but overall the A Plan is what give FedEx the edge over these othe companies.
