Apparently the last CGN captains train through in January. If there will be captains training in February then the back of the napkin pilot math would indicate a bid next Friday or sooner.

They've been sending Memphis 757 pilots to CGN to fill in the gaps. IMO I don't think CGN pilots are all that critical right now.

pretty sure that was due to country restrictions on travel between certain countries and the fact Germany was not issuing new residency visas

That was true last winter. No restrictions now. They are training a lot of people that are going to CGN right now, but there are still probably a dozen captain slots that will be vacant in a year or so.

You are correct. Pilots couldn’t get in due to country not processing visas. Training letter shows awards from last bid finishing up. I bet next bid has more.
