Default Next System Bid

Understood, not trying to kill the messenger It’s just not a good answer from management that deserves a follow question or two. They can plan as far ahead as they want and roll out bids quarterly, for example, to execute that plan. As it stands now, we basically bid to get on a list to be able to bid on a monthly basis for training.

THIS… and now they want numbers from us asking who has the shot and who doesn’t so they can account for their lack of planning during a world wide crisis affecting a multi billion dollar corporation. Truly pathetic management.

NO! YOU guys and gals up in the chain of command need to hire and maintain manning for ANY crisis in order to deliver the purple promise you’re so proud of…WITHOUT input from those of us that shoot CAT III approaches on a worldwide daily basis.

Its the same issue with the MD…God forbid someone crashes another one and ICAO say no mas MD aqui! While other freight carriers fail, we need to flip a switch and tell the stock holders we, FDX see no loss in lift because we executed plan B. BUT, FDX has chosen to run lean to save money and not run a bit fat to absorb a detrimental system change. I have no sympathy.

Agree. Management is pathetic in all areas in regards to staffing. Not just pilots. The earnings call validated this and the stock price drop shows it. The labor force has been worked to the bone to make up for poor management. The money though for all workers has been good. Pilots have had some record setting W2's in all fleets/seats. The short staffing most definitely has been a windfall for many pilots. We have that to take away as a positive. Just remember when we are properly staffed again to get ready to complain about no AVA, Draft, Vacation Buy Back...........

The way I see it, we need to realize these Higher W2 earnings ARE NOT PAY RAISES! They are not a result of bonuses, not profit sharing, and definitely not WuFlu/hotel isolation/CIQ incentive pay!

Again... AVA, Draft, vacation buyback are NOT pay raises! I see it as crutches for staff management or mismanagement.

Hourly pay increases (excluding longevity) ended last year, Was that an industry leading contract to be proud of? Do we want a repeat? I sure don't!!!!

Agree.....

Never did I say we got a pay raises. Just simply pointed out our record breaking W2s. Facts are facts. We both know when this vast draft pool dries up many will cry foul. Me and you know many will be unable to stop the Draft/AVA/VBB if and when needed. That means true raises will be delayed. I hope I am wrong but not holding my breath.

The draft addicts have already probably made lifestyle adjustments or new car loans/mortgages or any other large purchases. They need it….junkies. They won’t stop.

Sad but true. Then they will blame everyone and everything else for not getting a contract done quickly.

Wait you can't say that! That's exactly what I said that caused you to say I'm over reacting. I also said if I was applying, I'd wait and see what happens after a TA shows up. Everyone at FedEx thinks the worst can't happen here. Y'all need to look really hard in the mirror.

The part where we diverge is when you tell people not to apply here. This is a short term issue and it will get resolved. Why would you tell people not to come to the best airline job in the industry?
