Long term outsourcing agreement

The deliveries mentioned above were only off by 6 planes. So yes, 44 76's to be delivered within 4 years. Again, you being a UPS employee, not sure what you are getting at by being in the FedEx forum trying to tell FedEx employees their labor problems.

Ok so we are talking Express only. Yes, 412. Thank you for clarifying. Those numbers still reflect no change in the fact that FedEx still operates more aircraft than UPS, and thus have a resulting labor problem.

You see they have watched FedEx get aircraft orders after aircraft orders. They have seen bid after bid producing less than two year captains. They have seen our fleet grow while theres stays almost stagnant. I’m sure it chaffs they’re arss and creates resentment.

While FDX has definitely ordered more aircraft than UPS, many of those orders are for fleet recapitalization. The FDX historical Stat Book shows 371 trunk aircraft in at the end of FY'17, while projecting a total 416 trunk airframes at the end of FY'22. That would represent airframe growth of a bit over 12%.
From Q4'17 through Q1'22, UPS will have experienced airframe growth by a bit over 21%.
I'll concede that it appears as though FDX will grow by 38 airframes 2023-2025 based on existing orders...but that's a lot of time for 1. UPS to order additional airframes, or 2. FDX to retire some existing airframes.
If any of us had a crystal ball, we'd not be driving jets for a living and arguing on APC but drinking umbrella drinks on a beach.
Again - C2078's point about staffing was not airline or pilot specific, but rather companywide and lifted pretty much from your earnings call. Some posters took it as a slight against FDX pilots or FDX as an airline, which it was not.
What happens at Purple impacts what happens at Brown, and vice-versa. We should be paying attention to what happens at not only our own shops, but each other's. A rising tide lifts all ships and what not...
If we're jealous of anything, its your catering.

It’s mostly jealousy that drives them. Do you notice there is no FedEx guys posting in the UPS forum but they love to come over and lurch in ours? They’re mad that their CEO has decided to sweat the assets and has failed to produce aircraft orders and career progression.

Really Dude? A career at UPS or FedEx seem very similar to me. We have certain things in our contract which they would enjoy and they have things in their contract I would definitely love to see here at FedEx. This is not about FedEx vs UPS. Let’s focus on or Union and the company to see what TA they present to us. Quit with all these other distractions.

Agreed! Everything else seems to be a wash, but I heard FedEx serves filet mignon and lobster at every station, served on fine china with real silver cutlery. Is that true?
I also hear their sort facilities have imported marble flooring and gold plated light fixtures. 😀
But seriously, I like to read threads like this to keep up with what’s going on in the industry. Hopefully you purple folks can secure some big improvements in your next contract, which can give us brown folks a stronger negotiating position when it’s our turn. Best of luck!
