I would expect possible displacements/excess from ANC/LAX MD-11 and A300 and 757 MEM. With vacancies in ANC 777/MEM777/MEM767 and possibly MEM MD-11 (unless they are parking MD's, instead of just moving them to more domestic roles). Go look at the average BLG for the 777 in ANC/MEM and the 767 MEM, they need the bodies in those fleets.

How can you know if you didn't hear it from the crew bus driver? I know you didn't because there are no crew buses and no drivers.

Realignment bids while we are shrinking the system will be hugely negative - a LOT of guys are going to get moved.

Of course we are overmanned - we were significantly overmanned in January and that was before all this new hire training ends shortly - all those instructors will be returning to the line. Way too many near retirees are hanging on longer than they projected hoping for a significant bump in a TA that may never come and if it does, may never pass.

If I were in my first 1-3 years here and had a competitive resume, I'd certainly look at DL or UAL. Their future is a lot brighter.
I did hear from a trusted source that the announcement will be made on 1Apr.

With the new 76’s and 77’s coming this year and next is it supposed to be an even swap or will we be shrinking? I forget how many are on order still.

How do you expect them to get rid of older less efficient airplanes without causing massive training events? Even UPS, according to Jim Joseph the President of UPS Airlines, has said UPS is getting rid of theirs. They're expecting to park at least six this year. With more to come later depending on 767 deliveries.

We will soon announce the transition of retiring the MD11s. The reasons are less volume in Express (due to increasing belly freight and contractors, not flying deferred products in Express airplanes) and fuel efficiency. It's coming folks whether you believe it or not. We will know more April 5th at the announcement on Network 2.0.

You realize they're parking their MDs because they're Pratts and have a very expensive inspection coming due right? Our fleet is mostly GEs with plenty of "efficiency" left . Also, they have old -400 freighter models that will need replaced soon too. Should they be parking those too due to "efficiency?"

Isn't it amazing how the timing coincides between where we are in negotiations and this New Network? This new company BS, where "we [they] don't fking need you anymore, although we told you weekly for the last 3 years how we couldn't have made billions in profits with out you, and how you are the most critical part to this company's success".

New Network, decoded: what you the Express airline have been doing for the last 5 years, means jack sh!t to the Corp. with amnesia today.

Hey NC, why not send us the TA with the company's latest offer, then let us vote it down in a big way? Then we go back to open Section 1 (this really can't wait until next round of negotiations), and then we get to know just how good or bad the current TA'd language is.

Without hiring it frees up training capacity to rebalance manning.
