Increase pension by accepting industry lagging pay, QOL concessions, and splitting the crew force: BAD!
Pension increase supposedly costs company about $4 for every dollar increase to pilots. No wonder the entire, TA other than the A-plan increase, was so disappointing.

In 2006, we had a pension of $130K and industry leading pay.
That 2006 equivalent today would be $201K. So now you’re willing to accept pay rates that are 10% lower in exchange for a pension that is 16% less. Does that about sum up your mentality?
This is the problem. And if the group that is overestimating the value of the A-Plan to such a massive degree keeps going in this direction, the next TA will likely be more lopsided. This pension is becoming an albatross and not worth it.

Nope. Not my mentality at all. I just wish our group would focus on our group and get an agreement in a reasonable amount of time. We want Delta Pay Rates, 220k pension, their profit sharing, no PBS, our vacation, their sick time, their reserve, our deviation, their expense system. I'm all about fighting and getting everything we can. What i don't want is to fight for a decade and never be made whole. I mean we have guys that want to rewrite the whole contract. A worthwhile cause if you are willing to wait 6-7+ more years.

Another tired argument. Airbus pilots have made the same WB Delta 777 equivalent since before we even had a 777 on property. It’s been that way for a generation. With BKO out 777 have always been paid more than Delta 777 pilots. I wonder why you never heard UPS pilots saying the 757 pilot pay rate was too high last year when they had a WB pay rate even higher than Delta.
Fred's gone and the airline is changing. There's no champion of pride purple pilot flying purple tails, just managers beholden to the share holder that view the pilot group as a source of inefficiencies to be streamlined to maximize shareholder value and bump stock price.

I think you’re serious so let’s envision how that’s going to work for our new NC when negotiations resume. And let’s just assume age 67 doesn’t pass, and we keep the postal contract.
FDX NC: Good morning gentlemen. We’re back. Our pilots said no.
FDX: We know. Thank you. We much prefer paying you 2015 pay and pension rates.
FDX NC: But we rage fired our MEC.
FDX: We know.
FDX NC: And we have new lanyards.
FDX: We don’t care.
Lots of smart people on this website. Someone explain what else the NC brings to the table to convince Fred to write a bigger check.

yes, it is a joke. The lanyard is supposed to be long enough so the ID touches your knees. That’s been the FDX ALPA standard for at least five lanyards. This normal size lanyard BS is a complete joke.

Better schedule a other manager’s meeting to come up with something better!
So prove me wrong, instead 13 year old comebacks. You’re not talking to junior high kids.
