Hmm. Something doesn't add up.

Buddy of mine who does interviews says they haven't cancelled or postponed a single class that had newhires assigned to it, however there is pool of pilots that have not been assigned a class yet, and that pool is growing as well because they're still doing interviews this week. More captain vacancies on the bid that was just announced as well.

One of our buddies is wrong, and I'm inclined to think it's not the guy who actually working there. What was your buddy's class date?

looks like the "we don't need Postal" contract at FedEx has caused UPS to start hiring pilots again, possibly 300 this year.

FDX hired 900-1000 when awarded it in 2002. So it has definitely has gotten smaller. Plus UPS will use there ground network for a large portion of it. The big question is, how overstaffed is FDX now with this lost?
