757. Trip 33. Gone 3 days. M-W. Pays 8.58.

So you were just being pedantic about Ogar’s use of hyperbole? We’re honestly having a discussion about making a point through effect instead of the fact that our soft pay lags by double digit percentages.

You are wasting people’s time and lack the discernment to identify between objective and subjective commentary. I don’t know Ogar. But his point was clear. And somehow, you are confounded.

That's an FCOM thing, most all the carriers just follow the FCOM these days, for better or worse.

Airlines vary on this one, about 50/50 last I checked across the industry.

No, it is just a smart thing to do, particularly in highly automated aircraft.

That comes from recommendations out of the FAA automation working group.

Came out of the FSF recommendations in the aftermath of a bunch of busts at USAir. Pretty much industry standard, what did you fly before?

Another FSF recommendation that most carriers follow in one form or another. I do it in the limo.

Yes, that needs fixing. Not unique to any one carrier.

Common for most carriers.
A lot of info you have appears to be out of date. You seem to be uninformed how other carriers operate. While at certain points in time (10-20 years ago), these things were true, recommendations and industry practices have changed. I think the FedEx flight ops team needs to start talking with other carriers to see modern solutions to those problems.

"Continue..."

At 100'. During landing. Try selling that somewhere with adults in the room who actually fly airplanes for a living. The "because I said so and I'm in charge" around he has been and continues to be truly spectacular in its arrogance that is only overshadowed by its stupidity.

Thanks, you have gotten the closest of anyone. Our day starts at 0130 LBT, so that trip is still a two day trip by the contract.

Keep using insults, it only improves your point.

So, you are saying that ogar's post was all an exageration? Good to know. I thought the soft pay, reserve rules, and old work rules were pretty accurate, but I guess he was just exagerating.

I never insulted you once.

Look at your very reply. You are unable to differentiate nuance. You just said literally his WHOLE response must be hyperbole because of one line.

But keep on guessing. You might get it eventually.

So when you called me a lazy bum, or pedantic, you weren't insulting me? Websters defines pedantic as an insulting word.

So, you are saying that only that one sentence was hyperbole? How did you differentiate that from the other sentences? How does anyone who doesn't work at Fedex know that what he said wasn't true.

The fact that you won't admit that you tried to defend the statement, and then failed and resorted to insults tells me that you didn't think it was hyperbole either. If that was the case, then why not just state that rather than use your time trying to find pairings that fit the statement?

You couldn't differentiate the nuance in my post either.

Wondering how you are going to say that your insults really weren't insults.

You can go back and forth on the semantics of what was technically said. I think you are missing the point, Justin.
9 hours for a “2 day” is crap.

Not sure why he is calling this a 3 day trip. gone 31 hrs for 8:58. I think the issue is, and I want more trip rig, but fedex and the union pretend everyone lives in Memphis and pay us accordingly. The worst is a 6ch day turn and you commute, 6ch for 2 days. It sucks
