Hey man just want to say it sounds like you fly domestic FedEx. I got lucky and was hired into an international airplane/base here a couple of years ago. I love this job. I highly recommend switching to the international side of things when you can. I can see how if my only perspective was doing the night Memphis stuff I'd be seriously considering leaving as well. The contract turmoil/DRIVE stuff would be the cherry on top of those considerations. I considered leaving as well. We will get a contract and there will be a time in the future that I'm glad I chose FedEx.

 

This whole post is absolutely hilarious and I don't even fly for you guys. BTW, hope you aren't anticipating anything different at any other 121 airline you may go to. They're all the same.

What you thought we only flew between 800am and 8pm?

Fedex was built on hub turns. International gives you some insulation but you can turn in Asia and Europe too.

Once again you didn't do your homework.

 

Ok bud we can keep going back and forth as long as you want but our opinions probably aren’t going to change. There are hundreds of us if not thousands that aren’t thrilled with the quality of flying, quality of life, and pay here but I’m glad you are loving it!

I doubt thousands are as unhappy as you. Even the TC eight will not be able to improve how miserable you are.

When’s the last time you actually spent quality time with your wife or kids or grandkids? This is what’s wrong with FX. You’re too busy defending/slaving away for FS’s dream. Only worked 15 days since Christmas so have plenty of time off with the family. I am not the one on here complaining about QOL. Others are. Maybe they should spend more time with their families instead of complaining on here.

I've worked 10 days since the 1st of February. My wife loves it and there is no other airline that affords you the luxury we have with regard to vacation. I was at a legacy for 7 years, so yes I have seen both sides of the fence. My experience at FDX has been great and I prefer it hands down over the pax gig.
Having said that, I'm willing to fight every step of the way to get the contract we deserve.

My guess is that a lot of people with the worst attitudes are experiencing their first ebb in the cycle of ebbs and flows that make up aviation at this level.

My suggestion to those of you that don't like it here at the moment, is to set the differences aside, because united we conquer and divided we fall.
A new ( leading ) contract can turn things around in a hurry. The day after signing the moral will improve drastically. Just look at our brothers and sisters at SWA.
