To me that seemed like a pretty reasonable list of gripes.

As purple have a very high number of people who came straight from the military with no 121 time, this post doesn't surprise me at all.

Being ex military myself I can see how the "firm grip on the non essential" creeps into operations.

In the navy I remember briefings that seemingly went for hours that could have been done in 5 mins.

He's upset that guys do a radio call that the AIM says "should" be done "at all times" ?

I doubt all his problems stem from other pilots...AIM 5-3-3. Additional Reports

a. The following reports should be made to ATC or FSS facilities without a specific ATC request:

1. At all times.

(a) When vacating any previously assigned altitude or flight level for a newly assigned altitude or flight level.

He's mad at everything. And now he's gone.

And now he's your's (or your former co-workers' since I believe you've retired...congrats, if so!), Delta's or United's problem.

$20 says he's not happy there either.

Half of that list are ops cert specific. Every airline has them and a lot of them are similar. He was complaining about the FO doing the walk around for cripes sake.

His gripes about management and how the place is being run are fair, but welcome to corporate America LOL.

Imagine being so angry that you feel the need to go on a petty apc diatribe of that length. I can guarantee the poster is that way about everything in life. I would hate to serve this guy coffee at Starbucks.

I say "it could be worse. You could be married to them."

Somewhere between retired and unemployed. Haven't figure it out completely yet.

Complaining that the Captain loads the FMC... He'd be complaining about the Captain that DIDN'T load the FMC.

It is kind of annoying that the FO never gets any experience loading the FMC. I remember one day the captain was running super late and I was trying to load the FMC and having to thumb through the training manuals to figure out how to do it again since I hadn’t done it since that one time in initial ITU.

How do you get a type rating in a plane when you can't load the FMS?

It’s the FedEx way. The FO is only there to wrap waters.
