I'll probably croak myself purely from hearing loss because this airline has a culture of NOT using intercom, leaving me to try to hear what Bill is muttering over there in tHe LEFT sEaT. Rubber bands are NOT authorized. Check's in the mail for yoke mods...we'll have them all retrofitted shortly after the single pilot ops side letter gets inked.

I’ve never seen the magical FedEx chocolate cake and intl catering. Must be a different airline.

TWA/UsAir/NWA/DL/PSA/Air Cal didn’t work out, so there was a (literally) fly by night Falcon 20 gig hiring in a future war zone town in west TN. Little did you all know you’d be stuck with an unconscionable 130k pension though.
Can only imagine how much of the SM echo chamber asks the same question about the younger generation, “how did you get hired?” Also asked, “If we furlough can they still vote no???”

Sorry to break your little heart but most of those were not around when I got hired. Interviewed at Delta same month as FedEx. Was in the pool. Good thing FedEx called because instead of 5 years as wide body captain I will get 17. Just the last few years here have I been behind on pay. Oh and if I had gone to delta I would have been furloughed or close to it.
Falcon was gone long before. Sounds like you did not do your research. Were you also surprised that FedEx is an overnight delivery company?

Yeah when I got hired here there was a good stack of day flying, never thought the company would say no to business that killed off flying. At least the pax carriers don’t turn away routes that do make them money, and are insourcing flying versus the ASL game we are now.
What I was most surprised about was the types here who would excuse management paying us less than we’re worth, the SM, and a weak MEC (at least the prior regime).
