I guess you haven't been around long enough to know about the 20+ 747's that Flying Tiger brought to the dance. And yes, FDX did fly them,and the DC8's, and the silver tail 727's.

In fact, the same could be said for those 727's, which were all pieces of junk years before they were merged into the FedEx fleet. If memory serves, there wasn't one 727 which would hold pressurization on one pack. Even at sea level.
