...hearing an UN-substantiated rumor that the "new test" has been put on hold or somehow eliminated from the hiring process due to the higher than expected failure rate over the past few months....???
Any truth to that rumor??
Seems like a pretty high percentage of very qualified pilots were being weedy out early without a chance to show all their skills.
Any substantiated intel is appreciated.

hate to be a maroon, but what exactly is the "cog test" and where can I find a reasonable explanation of it? I'm sponsoring a guy and no one seems to be able to tell me the gist of what our "new, improved" hiring gauntlet consists of. Links or explanations (in simple terms, pls) appreciated.
Whatever happened to going "hey ACP this is a guy we want"...
thanks for humoring my ignorance.

Did you notice there are some extra sections that need filled out now with work history and address history? If you have a profile in the system it might be a good idea to view all sections to ensure it is complete.

I did notice that. It actually reversed my addresses (primary was an old address). Thankfully it was easily fixed.
Also, for what it's worth (@ $3.98) - my ref's are saying they are also hearing in MEM that the test stays the same, but only one visit to MEM. I think I would almost rather test and then come back in order to break up the prep and study. Here's to hoping for the chance!
