Guaranteed flow through is a thing of the past. It effectively ended during 4.A.2.b. when management realized the two year guarantee could be problematic. So, they quit making promises.

I didn't mean that you could get on as a part time corporate pilot, I meant a part time FedEx Express employee (sorting boxes, dispatching, crew scheduling, etc...). Do you know if that's the case? Can part time employees from the Express side of the house get an interview after 2 years? Or do they have to be full-time employees?
No. You have to be full time as an Express employee.

No, you don't have to be a full-time employee. I was a part-time handler for Express early this year, and you only have to put in 1 year in the position, then you can get a guaranteed interview as long as you meet the minimums and they are hiring. I couldn't survive on the part-time position only, so I had to leave for a full-time flying job. I would have loved to stay and put in the year, but it was not possible to get a flying job and work the handler job at the same time. Oh well, just gonna have to get in as an "external" guy.

Thanks Dpilot. A friend was asking about this.

I'm sure your previous handler job here, in addition to the friends you made, will greatly improve your chances for a quicker interview as an "external".

Good luck to you.

It's gotten quiet for the rest of us. Calls still going out for CGN or anything else?

Thanks CloudSailor, appreciate that! Yes, I'm hoping as a previous Express employee with a sponsor too, that I could improve my chances for the call to interview.

A buddy of mine is testing tomorrow, August 1st, for a Cologne slot. He's ready immediately, has a sponsor, ~5000 hrs total, don't know his other hours breakdowns.

Is it bad to have an employee number in the 800,000 range!

Better than a 900,000 one!
Though 999,999 would be kinda cool to have.
