"Your PIC hours for this purpose is defined as Captain/Aircraft Commander of record, not simply the sole manipulator of the controls. Instructor Time while included in your PIC total is broken out further on this form."
to mean that I personally could only log my time as a CRJ Captain towards PIC. My Flight Instructing hours would be included automatically.

If you've had a recommendation from a pilot that worked at FedEx in the past in order to get an interview they will all be wiped clean this month and you won't have one (Feb, 2017).
The new process is that every pilot is given ONE (1) ENDORSEMENT every 10 years. If the person they ENDORSE gets hired, then they are reset and can ENDORSE another, but recommendations are a thing of the past.
Bottom line is this... if you've received a recommendation in the past (which has pretty much been a qualifier for getting an interview in almost every case), you now don't have one. You will need to contact your sponsor and ask that they reinstate you under the new program.
If they have given five recommendations in the past, however, you might not be the ONE that they select to ENDORSE in the future because they are only allowed ONE (verses no limit).
You also get more POINTS if you have more than one ENDORSEMENT so don't be shy in asking for more than one if you know several pilots at FedEx.
Good Luck.

I get that the intent is to make sure an employee uses their endorsement very carefully, but it seems pretty harsh to say they can't endorse again for 10 years if the guy doesn't get hired...people have off days, after all.

I logged SIC as dual received and then in the notes column (when applicable) you can write "SIC = dual received" That seemed to be "successful"

Here is an email I got back from PC about logging student time and T-6 time if anyone had a question about those topics.
Hello Gf22,
Student time will counts as SIC on all of our sites, so feel free to fill out your FedEx and Southwest flight hours accordingly.
In regards to the T-6 counting towards the total 1500 hours requested by FedEx, unfortunately I do not believe it will contribute.
FedEx's requirement is as follows:
1500 hours total fixed-wing time as pilot-in-command (PIC) or second-in-command in multi-engine turbo-prop A/C or jet A/C or combination thereof (GTOW 12,500). A minimum of 1000 hours total fixed-wing pilot-in-command in multi-engine turbo prop A/C or jet A/C or combination thereof (GTOW 12,500 or greater) is preferred. Note: PIC for this purpose is defined as Captain/Aircraft Commander of record, not simply the sole manipulator of the controls. Note: FedEx considers only pilot time in fixed wing aircraft toward minimum qualifications. This does not include simulator, helicopter, flight engineer, bombardier, navigator, RIO, EWO, WSO, NFO, or Special Crew.
The requirement is specifically asking for multi-engine aircraft, and the T-6 is a single-engine.

[QUOTE=zimmy78;1044752]So I recently pursued the T-6 time issue through a friend of a friend at FedEx and I got this email today. Good luck to all this opens up an opportunity for.
Sir, I wanted to update you on this question/answer. *It looks like it brought about some conversation. *I have been informed that T6 time is now approved flight time. *I wanted to pass this along to you since this affected the answer I had provided to you previously.
Good luck on your endeavors!
Sincerely,

[QUOTE=Snaplock;2299192]I call B.S. on this. What about the F-16 dudes who have been hired at FedEx? I think that FedEx PROBABLY counts military trainers in that total time just fine as well. Until someone from FedEx says T-6 time doesn't count then I call b.s.
I also found this:
I already asked about that old post specifically and here's what I got back from Pilot Credentials Support:
Unfortunately Ren has not been with us for several years.
In regards to the requirements, they have changed since 2011. The T-38 will definitely apply towards the required time, however I will need to forward the issue to our FedEx rep to get a new answer regarding the T-6.

After this email I received a follow up from PC:
We have received a response, unfortunately they are insisting on multi-engine aircraft only.

I find it a bit disconcerting that its anticipated commencement was going to be the 15th, and I still don't know what it is or how it works except for the info that has been posted here. Especially since it could have a large an impact on someone I am sponsoring/recommending/endorsing.... or whatever the current term is.
