You hit the nail on the head. This fits perfectly into their playbook. It's just another example of the "IGM" attitude of many of the crew force. "I Got Mine" is all that seems to matter to many here, and until that changes, we as a crew force are never going to mature to a point of being able to make any real progress.

Simple Jack, That all makes sense. I was watching ANC Capt open time a few weeks before Christmas hoping to get some of Christmas week off by trading. An x-pairing drops in with a nice DH in it getting me home earlier. It was frozen so I called the scheduler and he said it would be released soon. I was using FX cal and refreshing like no ones business. It became unfrozen and I submitted for it, had it all cued up on the screen.I also called scheduler and he was on the phone giving it to an earlier time stamp. It was a 93 hr trip so I figured something would be dropped since it was such a big trip but nothing showed up. So who ever picked up the trip either had a huge month or had dropped stuff waiting to use their OTP makeup by putting in for it each day.
