Are those even good deals? Seems like an awful lot of long deadheads to go to a couple of oddball places with short layovers, and additional effort required to do the charter work. Maybe I'm just getting old, they don't look that sweet to me.

Okay, that fourth frozen trip they put into open time, I would take. Two legs for 64 hours of pay? Honestly, the fact that these trips even exist on the MD-11 is unusual. Nothing like those ever, on the bus. The wolf pack can't get them all, some of them must be on vacation, training, out of OTP. But why the heck do they put them into open time and keep them frozen for so long? I would probably give CRS a call if they were trips I wanted, and ask why they do that.

This is BS! ONCE AGAIN, one of the wolfpack or the guy "who's best at it" just picked up the largest charter trip that just unfroze while he is on a hotel standby in Cologne, Germany. It's past 1:00AM there right now. I have been staring at my computer trying to pick up that trip hitting refresh every 10 seconds waiting for it to unfreeze, just like a hundred other guys are doing, and he gets the coveted trip AGAIN while 4,000 miles away at 1:00 AM on a different continent! ENOUGH. There needs to be a REAL investigation into the theft of these trips. That what it is, plain and simple.

Okay, do us all a favor, and call CRS right now, and ask. Chances are, you'll talk to the person processing it. Be polite (as it is a recorded line), but tell them that you were refreshing every 10 seconds, and once again the guy who manages to get all the good trips got it again. How does that happen?Maybe they will give you some useful information, if nothing else, at least you will know who was on duty and you can tell a little by how defensive or helpful they might be.

Bus,
I did that immediately after I got the earlier time stamp notification. Apparently, my time stamp and the cheater's time stamp were the same but his request was processed two minutes before mine. The scheduler couldn't explain how that was possible and sounded clueless that this BS is going on. What I want to know is how could someone on a hotel standby in Europe at 1:00AM in the middle of their standby period be up waiting for a trip to unfreeze when he should be asleep since he could be called out at any moment to fly.
