That's unbelievable. I wish I didn't care and could say whatever, but it's hard to do when hub turning and he's dh'ing first class all over the world.
But I doubt the company even cares.

The company's job is to publish open time. The method and how how often you check open time is up to you, FX Cal, BidX, browsers or the phone. But to my knowledge, there is absolutely no way around the 300 open time hits. If you've figured out a way around this restriction, then you are in the wrong. When I hit 300, I go to bed or wait for a text from another pilot who's still checking.

As to why they have their calendars blocked, I can't answer that. It's a personal choice. But, if all my activities were being discussed and criticized over the internet then I would consider it also. The guy who is the best at it, opened his calendar and he got blown up by everyone on this board. I can tell you they're not doing DRF/VOL if that's what you're worried about.

Don't worry, they are doing the same crappy trips as you and I. But, those trips don't get talked about. People only highlight the good trips they get. I've beaten them to the good trips and I've gotten ETS by them. I don't cry and whine about it. I move on and try and find the next trip.

Hope this helps.
So V1,
You think this cheater and the rest of the wolfpack fly crappy trips like the rest of us? What planet are you on? Have you actually looked at his schedule? All he flies are X-pairings and charter trips, trips most of us only dream of getting. He knows NOTHING about flying the crappy trips the rest of us have to. Yet, he gets great x-pairings month after month. He just picked up a coveted x-pairing while he's currently on a coveted x-pairing in Europe. And you're going to sit there and lecture the rest of us how he is doing this honestly? It's mathematically IMPOSSIBLE for this to happen every month legitimately and honestly. If you think he and the rest of this wolfpack are acquiring these x-parings/charter trips "honestly" then you're either not very bright or you are aware of how they are stealing these trips which then makes you complicit.

Well, we really can't say when someone should be sleeping. People have different sleep patterns, and there is no enforcement (nor should there be) of when people are allowed to be awake and on the computer.

However, this should be an easy one for the company to look at and follow up on if they wanted. The evidence should all be there on the computer. I suppose, "If they wanted," is the key phrase.

Perhaps serious OTP recycle? I'm not sure why the company and the union don't do a LOA about not being able to reuse that, I'd think they'd both agree.

That's easy. They're cheating the system, running something on the other side of the border.

they were not unfrozen until he landed and could get to a computer from his DH. Happens all the time. When you see a trip frozen, see where the pack is and if they are flying, the trip will stay frozen until they land. Hard to see deviation DHs though.

How can you guys get so worked up over charter trips when we have issues like captains and first officers with mis-matched uniforms?

I'm checking off the jet. I give up...

I have been staring at my computer trying to pick up that trip hitting refresh every 10 seconds waiting for it to unfreeze, just like a hundred other guys are doing, and he gets the coveted trip AGAIN while 4,000 miles away at 1:00 AM on a different continent! ENOUGH. There needs to be a REAL investigation into the theft of these trips. That what it is, plain and simple.
Agree with all of this. Mathematically impossible. You have got to get a CP on this. What really boggles the mind is how this guy can even deal with himself? I wouldn't be able to stomach an entire career full of screwing the entire crew force and having anyone hating the mere mention of my name. How can he even walk into the AOC (Actually, he doesn't, I know)? I guess I wonder if these guys (guy) even have a conscience. I sure hope it's worth it! Personally, if there is some provable monkey business going on and they all get canned, I'm not planning on shedding too many tears.

It's pretty disheartening to have all this consternation over a few guys getting good deals over and over. I'm all for EVERYONE getting a fair shot at great trips, and I'm not sure how we make this happen. But to have people so upset over the actions of a few, doesn't seem right. It divides us.

By "CP" I'm assuming you mean "Chief Pilot"? If so, the two previous FDX MD11 Fleet Captains were well aware of the "Wolf Pack" Open Time Mafia and tried in vain to fix this, but they both did not get any support (and some obstruction?) from their Cheif Pilot superiors. I know, I have spoken with both of them, and laud them for their efforts to even out the Open Time playing field. I personally do not expect any action from the current MD11 Fleet Captain on the "Wolf Pack's" shenagins
