Did we really get everything we could get out of the company or did we just run out of our own money to continue negotiating?
Now what page was that on in Union Busting 101?

Without question, marginal available funds was a factor in acceptance of this TA. All MEC members including the top 3 were keenly aware. This is validated from multiple block reps. The SS regime bled the bank account big time. How much was accomplished during the 2 interim contract bump years? Very little. How much $$$ was expended in trip removal? A boat load. FACT.
The company playbook in all its insidious glory was very effective.

I'm not pointing any fingers or making accusations, but what are the costs of negotiating? Aren't the MEC members paid regardless of whether we are negotiating? I think the MEC gets 90hrs or so a month. I may be wrong on this. I'm not sure how they are paid. Is the NC and his team an additional cost? I would think so. I'm not making any statement here about money, I just am curious why it would cost 8 million or so to get a TA.
