au...congrats on getting selected..hope you go soon. curious to know how they handled getting you there? did you just send them a copy of your airline reservation and they deposit money into a checking account? And did they buy you a coach ticket or biz?

thanks

You will have to purchase your own ticket but before you purchase the ticket PARC needs to approve it. They prefer you to purchase the ticket on ANA. They will only reimburse you for a coach class ticket.

You will receive an interview packet when selected which will have a form you to fill out to get reimbursed for your travel. The hotel is provided and they will reimburse you for the airline ticket and the airport transfer from Narita to Haneda which is around $30 each way. You will need to include the receipt for the airline ticket and airport transfers to get reimbursed.

No, no problem. But they also have no problems paying for it if you ask

What I have heard is that it is a percentage of your salary, 8% to 10% is the figures that are thrown around. Their overhead is their employees and the costs of running their offices, but the costs of the applicants (hotel, airline, etc.) is all reimbursed to the agencies by ANA

Not sure that I want to deal with pilots on my days off but if ya'll want to invest on a topless bar as a side business, I'm game

Have any of you done the medical in the US? I'm heading to Tokyo on the 17th returning on the 20th, with the medical in New York on the 21/22.

ualfurlough,
Just curious... how long between application and invite to interview? PARC or CREW?
Good luck in the interview!

IROs are not required until more than 12 hours. Our return from HNL is normally 9.5 hours with only a 2 man crew. We also do a CAN turn which can be more than 9 hours with only a 2 man crew.... None of our flights require IROs.
