The sell of Japan Post's stock has been in discussion for some time. This was one of the things that had to happen if they were to merge the two companies. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it will be a big deal.

Are many guys getting asked behavioural questions in the interview or is it more personal and tech stuff?

You take the 560 question MMPI and talk to a psychiatrist. But that isn't during the interview, it's during the medical...if you pass the interview and sim.

I have a medical question. I searched for the answer, but couldn't find it. Do you have to have uncorrected 20/20 vision or can it be corrected to pass the medical? I currently wear contacts which correct me to 20/20.

Unfortunately, there is also an uncorrected minimum, which is what got me.

Here's a link to the ICAO AME manual:

Here is a link to the Japanese medical requirements. There are probably differences from the ICAO requirements as the Japanese do things their own way.

Keep in mind, the medical you take before you are hired is a pre-employment medical. It is not your aviation medical. That does not happen until after you pass your sim check, so there may be some requirements that are more strict that what is listed in the manual.
