I know guys that have been captains at planesense for a looooonnng time and still aren't at $80k. Just something to think about. Planesense seems like a good company but they are WAY WAY WAY behind on pay and benefits and that is why they have massive pilot attrition. Hopefully management figures this out before it's too late.

Check this out.

Wow - that's some trash talk. Should applicants also read these other APC threads for a more "balanced" view?

Dear Tradewind Thanks For The Divorce!

The Truth About Tradewind

Why the attrition at many of these 135 operators? How about the current incentives offered at the regionals (high starting salaries, sign-on bonuses and flow slots to the majors)? I have never seen offers this good for people with 1500 hours. And starting on an E175 or CR9 at many regionals ain't a bad way to start your airline career. Just saying....

No trash talk at all, go crawl back into to your safe space. Point out anything I said that was false. Planesense won't be able to offer everything the airlines can, but when they can't even keep up with other companies flying the same airframe in New England, that says a lot. I've seen those threads. Planesense has it's own set of problems. Just because ex employees haven't had "divorce" threads doesn't mean they don't have issues.

Safe space? Really? You openly trash talk an established fractional player and you expect nobody to notice? If Tradewind is so fantastic, what has attrition been like there in the last 18 months? I am sure you have had a large net gain of employees.

Holy crap, you need to quite being so sensitive bud. Nothing I said about Planesense was trash talk. I'll ask you again, quote one single thing I said that was false? Established fractional player? That's not a lie, but sure sounds like management jargon! Good I'm glad management has taken notice. I was merely pointing out how you are behind the curve when it comes to pay and benefits. This isn't news to a single pilot working there. I don't work at Planesense or Tradewinds, so I don't have a dog in this fight. Instead of coming in here and trying to shut down any dissenting opinions about your company, why don't you tell us one area where Planesense stands out from other companies? Pay, benefits, 401k, sick time, vacation, etc?

How about the ability to be based outside of the expensive NE? Not everyone wants to live in CT or BOS. I believe pilots are based all over including at established domiciles like PDK and I believe MCO. If you want to live in the NE, I assume PSM is probably available. Plus, I am hearing a big order for additional PC-24s is likely when the order window opens again (great for the lifers).

I don't work at Planesense and I don't have a dog in this fight either. No operator is perfect and no doubt the Planesense pilots should earn more to reduce attrition rates. Regardless, your original post sounded unbalanced considering all of the other information floating out there. And why bash others when you can just highlight the positives (i.e. higher pay at Tradewind)? I would stick to the positives because every operator has issues.

I am not joking. "Phase II" is underway, building another hangar of the same stature.

I certainly understand the hangar, but you were kidding about the Cirrus jet, right?!? Sure hope he won't be flying it by himself.
