Most guys are coming in with at least 1200 hours. An average class seems to be a mixed bag of CFI's, regional FOs, and one or two guys with substantial experience.

They were running classes there for a while almost every month, usually the winter time because it is a slower time. However, due to a slower number in the attrition department they haven't run a class since May. There was a distant rumor of a possible class in January but I am not sure those guys would have a role yet as again the attrition has been a little on the slow side.

Definitely an awesome job for folks living in New England as there isn't any other job in the area that offers a set schedule that you can plan off of.

For a small privately held company it could be a lot worse, and if you ask some, it could be a lot better. There are days when you'll want to throw the tow head across the ramp and then there are some days you'll breath a sigh of content....particularly when your other 135 buddies are telling you how they've had 4 days off this month and you know you're getting a guaranteed 12, with two weekends off.

It is a great airplane however, like it is previously stated, if you don't have a background with any sort of multi time or type ratings then you might find yourself having difficulty getting the next best thing. It is not possible...with the right networking you can go from the PC-12 to anything. I think the benefit of this company is making your way to the left seat and gaining the 135/91k PIC. You may not be able to necessarily win future employers over with 1,500 hrs of PC12 time but the type of operations you conducted with that time is a great talking point and experience you will not get in the right seat at a regional.

You have pilots with left seat time in airliners in which is not making a difference at some airlines. One of the reasons many pilots are upset. No reasons behind the actions.

I have 135 PIC time and my regional CRJ FO time opened more doors than single engine turbine pic has... Just food for thought.

How long would you estimate it takes to hold a line in PDK?

If I understand the term correctly (holding a line vs. reserve?) you are on the line from day 1.

So can one get to start in PDK or is that considered a senior base?

It is possible to get PDK out of the gate. Just ask at the interview if they are indeed looking for pilots to go there.

As far as reserve or a line...it is all unscheduled spur of the moment last second kinda flying. You're on an 8 on 6 off cycle. When you're on you will find out the night before what you are doing.Even mid cycle you will only know what's coming in the next 24 hours. The schedule is generally finalized the night before and edited throughout the coming day.

It is not uncommon to being sitting on standby in your hotel and then get called to do a bunch of flights. It is also not uncommon to have a day scheduled with 4 legs and the next thing you know you are sitting in an FBO on standby doing no flying that day.

I received an email today that they are looking to fill a late March class. Not sure how many people they have in the pool vs how many they plan to interview for the class(es). I'm hoping for an interview as I would love to live in NE, but I think a little more cash would be necessary.

I know upgrades are merit based, but is there an average time frame? Does is fluctuate that much? Thanks.

Anyone get a call or email from these guys lately? I update my resume with them about once a month and haven't heard a peep besides the automated emails. Would really like to get on here if they have any PDK spots.
