When I did the interview ride in the Mission Fit they programmed the FMS for me and all I had to do was fly the approach. During training the concentration was on programming the FMS not on flying, that concentration was in Dallas.. It also lands like any FTD and ATD, which means it doesn’t. If you expect the Mission Fit to perform like a Level D sim your expectations are way off. It is good for what it was meant to do which is help you to get use to the FMS that the PC-12NG has. The only person who washed out of my new hire class did it during the Mission Fit training because he couldn’t figure out how to use the FMS.

Thanks for relaying all that, tanker. It sounds like it’s not all that bad if you’re current and up on basic IFR procedures.

Have they started the 7 on / 7 off schedule for Portsmouth crews?

The 7/7 is only a test and they are doing 4 crews. Two on a 1st Monday rotation and the other two on a 2nd Monday rotation

Okay, cool. Would be awesome if they could offer that schedule to all Portsmouth crews. Thanks.

Just heard that in 2020 they are looking to hire 120 pilots. They prefer 900 hours but will take as low as 750 hours based on the type of hours.

Even worth putting my application in now then? Or at all? Just shy of 700. CFI CFII. Will be at least 750 by the time January rolls around.

I would recommend waiting until you have at least 750 hours

I wouldn't. Put your app in. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see you're working and building time. Not to mention the process takes a good while. Put it in. Don't wait. In this market, sooner is better. By the time they get to you, you have the time.... forward thinking.

Dumb question, but how do I update my application on workforcenow? Doesn't seem to give me the option anywhere that I can find. Would like to update my hours.
