Yes, the extra $100 is true, and it becomes $200 on days 19 and above. Also an extra $100 if your duty day exceeds 12hrs. On an 8-6 schedule you work 16-17 days per month. On the other schedules anything between 14 and 16. If you're good at bidding and are senior enough to hold it, you can line things up to get 17-18 days on pretty consistently. There are opportunities to pick up extra days, more so on the CA side, but as staffing improves there will be less. An average day is 3-4 legs with 20-45 min turns. On some days throw a deadhead in there as well. There is the occasional 2-3 hour sit but it's not common. It's definitely not a bad place to be. There are aspects that could be improved as with any growing company, but people on the line are happy and there are good things on the horizon. The planes are showing up relatively on time compared to what was promised and so are the new route openings. A completely new scheduling system is in the works that should be ready in about 6 months and is supposed to fix a lot of the issues people are complaining about. It's honestly the thing I most look forward to.

Absolutely! You bid your schedule in 56 day cycles, so you will know your days off in advance for that period. About half of the schedule options are 8/6 and the others vary somewhat depending on what the planner comes up with for the bid cycle. This time around there were a lot which were mostly 5/4, a couple of 7/7, and a few completely random ones. 8/6 tends to go senior.
The bonus is paid 10k after IOE, 10k at your year 1 anniversary, and 10k at your year 2 anniversary. It's withheld at a higher rate but effectively taxed at your regular rate, you'll just get the difference back in your tax refund.
I did a rough calculation on first year CA pay assuming just straight 16 days on (so no 17th day on the overtime rate, and no picking up extra days) and it comes out to 85k. If you add the per-diem then it brings it to 95k. Add the bonus and it's 105k.

Out of those 8 days that you’re flying, how often would you say you get to overnight in base?

Still don't work there, but the frac I was at it was safest to count on zero days at home during tour....
