XO Hiring
Hoping there are some current XO pilots who can share some advice. Have been submitting my resume to XO for about a year now and no bites. Meet all the minimums for hiring but no interest shown. I'm getting calls from Flex, Net, flyExclusive, etc. but XO is my target company. Any thoughts/guidance on getting my foot in the door? Thanks.

In the past, this is exactly what they did. Not only do they look at airline flight availability, but they'd look at the average ticket price and the big one...how much duty day will it burn on average to get you to one of their planes. Live in the PNW? Good luck! The lack of XO business into that region made it a sure thing to burn at least 3-4 hours minimum of duty on each side to get you to/from home. This makes you that much less productive on day 1 and that much more likely to be owed overtime on day 8/15. Ask the guy who moved from MCO to GEG and XO wouldn't allow him to change bases. He's at Delta now...

How do you think they'd view someone who lives in LAS?

On the flex, you work an 18 day schedule. Basically working two more days per month (and getting compensated) than someone on the 8/6. The flex varies anywhere from an 8/5, 8/5, 5/5 in a particular month. I've seen 3/5 a few times. Captain's get an additional 1k per month, fo's get 500/month.
