Why would I wonder about that? I'm not the one who has to fly with me!

Besides, I'm assuming NO ONE leaves the jet until its cleaned and serviced for the next day with the possible exception of fuel load.

It isn't the cost, it the behavior. The membership costs has fluxuated, as low as $2500 and been near $10k. Not a monumental amount of cash. Many are trying to be social media influencers, so everything to them is about the appearance of being wealthy/ partying/ or whatever so they can get the most likes and clicks. They delay the flight while taking photos on the ramp. Then walk up and down the air stairs half a dozen times while photographing their entrance. Or drive their car on the ramp to get a photo.

Once on board, no respect for the cabin or operation. They think their membership allows them to treat the airplane any way they see fit. Shoes on the leather is the least of their offenses.

At one point there was some gossip that drug mules moving product between cities on the JS Shuttle flights. Around that time is when the private security company would hang around the FBOs with K9s.

As you can see, calling them trash isn't because of their tax bracket. Not all are trouble, some are polite, respectful and even tip. The others are called trash because of the shenanigans that happens.

That is standard operations, even though you are in rest - the aircraft may not be. Another crew might take the aircraft from you.

Default Questions

I'm looking at moving on from my current job in a few months and I've been looking at XOJET. I'm planning on moving from the Pacific NW to the South East. I have a few questions though and I'm hoping they can be answered here before I apply.

My background: TT 4500ish, TPIC 2500ish, MEL 1500ish. No Jet time. All Alaska 135.

What is the difference between XOJET, XO Crew Resources, and Vista Jet? Specifically, pay, schedule, benefits, culture?

XO Crew Resources is VistaJet essentially. It's the name for the XOJET department that manages VJ aircraft flight crew members. If you apply/work for XOJET, you fly XOJET planes. XO Crew Resources, you'll fly VistaJet planes.

XOJET has 8/6, 15/13, and flex schedule options. VistaJet has only 17/13. Pay is roughly similar/proportionate, however XO currently has a more developed pay scale. Things are changing and developing for both companies during this period of acquirement. Things will look different a year from now and then even more different two years from now. I don't anticipate anything getting worse, but that's just my take.
