Will do, LJ,
By the way, is there a “Chase” (The former SWA pilot that got hired at XO and put out such great, informative posts on this thread about life at XOJET ) on here from VistaJet? There is so much great information about the XO side on here (including the Profile), but such a dearth of knowledge about the Vista side.. Chase, would you or anybody else have any similar info on Vista? Your descriptions of life at XOJET were very informative and well written.
Thanks..

Welcome to APC! Could you please post an overview of available schedules, pay scales, and other QOL issues for the XOCR side? I’m on the XOAV side and don’t know much about my teammates flying the 350/Global...

Thanks Peabody! Global crews work 17/13 schedules and the 350 guys work a 15+1/13, the +1 meaning scheduling can extend us an extra day but we get full EDO, which is $1200PIC/$900FO through Q1. Unsure what will happen with the rates after Q1 as our website advertises $600PIC/$400FO which is insanely low for the 350, Global EDO is $100 higher. There's only 2 options for scheduling: A and B rotations. A rotation is definitely better, Thanksgiving and Christmas off, B works both. At Jet they had a holiday schedule so B rotation didn't get screwed every year. We do the $74/day domestic and $96/day international per diem which equates to about $13000 extra a year. Not going to start the discussion on whether per diem is income, but it isn't taxed as such. After Friday's pilot call, it sounds like we're losing Atlantic Bucks too but I'm still unsure. Certainly hope not as that would be a pay decrease for us.

Looking to send in an application in about a month and a half.
Currently sitting as a 135 PIC with just over 1400 hours. I'll have about ~250 FAR135 PIC (all turbine), plus about 400 hours of multi-crew time in a type rated aircraft. I know the worst they could say is no but I'm just trying to gauge if it's realistic for me to apply right at 1500 hours or if I should just get my packet into the regionals.

I don’t know the complete breakdown of your times, but it appears you might be able to apply for the XO Crew Resources -350 position now, and the XO Aviation position when you hit 1500 hours.
Whether to apply to XOJET, a regional airline, or both is an entirely different, and very personal question. I weighed all of the factors that were important to me and chose to apply to XOJET and not any regional airline. Your choices may be wildly different, but don’t NOT apply to XOJET because you think your times are not “competitive”. Apply and let the process play out...

Been a little while but here's what I remember. Walk through your resume, any checkride failures, very basic IFR questions (holding speeds, when can you descend below mins, talk about the plane you're currently flying.) The gauge on aviationinterviews.com is spot on. They want to get to know you a bit and make sure they could do a rotation with you. Going for XOAV or XOCR?
