I’ve pretty much given up on the airlines ever calling although I admittedly still update my apps every other month.

The SAT base has basically taken over the HOU traffic at this point in time. Our SAT base is holding interviews for a 100 PIC.

Default All PIC's to 8/6 Schedule January, 2019

Quick update for everyone. We are excited to announce that, after successfully transitioning the majority of our PIC's to the 8/6 in 2018, we are moving all PIC's to 8/6 in January, 2019. Any PIC who is hired in 2018 will migrate to the 8/6 in January. All PIC's hired in 2019+ will be on the 8/6.

Currently, we are looking for PIC's out of our bases in Kansas City, MO (MKC), San Antonio, TX (SAT), and Fort Worth, TX (FTW).

Thanks!

Please tell me that’s 8 off and 6 on? If not, can you say entry level, stepping stone? Unless it pays 100K for FOs and 225K for CAs, that is.

Getting all the PIC's over to 8/6 first, then back filling the openings made available with the improved schedule, was one goal for 2018 and we're almost there. No time table for moving the SIC's over to 8/6 just yet, but we've got a great group ready to upgrade and make the move when able.

Incorrect Turbo, it's 8 days on, 6 days off. As you know, pilot benefits and such (schedule, salary, equipment, training, etc.) have greatly improved over the last 10-15 years and EAS is continuing to expand our service area, organizational foundation (increased staffing that helps support the pilot and shareholders), and capacity. Nothing moves quickly in the aviation world, but things are trending upward for us aviators, something we can all appreciate.

Thanks!

How does PTB work on the 8/6 schedule? I see that you get 15 days. Is it possible to use it for an entire 8 day stretch, so that you get 20 days off in a row?

Can you pick up OT by flying days off? Is contracting allowed on your days off?

With the move to the 8/6 schedule, do you anticipate pilots spending less time at home during the 8 days on?

Don't know about the PTB. You can work on your hard days, PIC's get $600 a day and SIC's get $450. You are also allowed to contract on your hard days if you like. There are a few guys that do pretty good contacting on the side.
