Essentially telling our pilots to “grieve it” one complaint at a time. Some months back the union published the “approved hotels list” and that lead to over 1,000 grievances by pilots for overnights in unapproved hotels, effectively doubling our active grievances. This is the reward of our union’s direction and the pilot group’s participation. Thanks to everyone that filed a grievance and to our union who juggled the massive uptick in grievances.

I agree this is a great step forward, however it doesn't compensate us for the company's past actions. I thought the union was pressing for something like a 2 hr pay credit per pilot for each grievance? Seems like now there are no repercussions for the company's past actions. This new agreement is something that has always been part of our contract that the company just decided a couple years ago to ignore once Indigo bought us.

Scratch, fight, claw for every scrap. Even the "victories" are somewhat hollowed due to the reason you mention. Can't wait to see the retro/bonus/LOA67. No penalties for the maliciousness towards this pilot group.

Notwithstanding, thank you Hotel Committee.

Speaking of email, interesting to see ALPA sending emails to potential candidates advising us of contractual issues that may not be so awesome.

Lowest narrow body pay
No hotels in training
Increasing reserve times in MCO and ORD

Nice way to put the pressure on management.

I agree completely. It is absolutely an achievement that we should be happy about, however the company should have had to pay up as well. Why we are doing this during negotiations also seems like a strange strategy to me. Its clear we would have won this in arbitration, why not just TA this to be included in the contract and if we don't get a contract before arbitration tough luck to the company.

It is something that had to be fixed and we didn’t have to spend any negotiating capital inside of section 6 negotiations to secure it. I don’t think arbitration was going to secure a monetary payout for our pilots, only a ruling from the arbitrator that would dictate future management of pilot hotels; which is what we got and then some.

Agree as well.

Maybe it will be different future now, but I'm not optimistic. Their past behavior should be pretty telling.

Didn’t they schedule out the whole week “just in case”? If I remember right that was the guidance from the NMB.....so hopefully no news is good news. But I haven’t heard a thing.

They still have another session tomorrow. I'm pretty sure any information from the negotiations is on lockdown.
