I implore everyone to attend a PUB event this week, or at least call your rep AND one of the negotiators.
TELL THEM WHAT YOU WANT!!
Don't let this opportunity pass you by. There's a reason the union is having a PUB event blitz this week.
It's the MECs job to present us with a TA that will pass. If they are getting no real negative feedback from the membership, it's easy to deduce that they'll assume many are content with this proposal. Speak up!

The time and place to discuss subpar items is at the PUB events. The more members that show up expressing disappointment in the already agreed upon items such as LTD, per diem, direct contribution percentage etc. the more likely they are to up the ask.
I asked one of the negotiators directly at one of the last PUB events, if we were going to up our ask on hourly rates since the original proposal is already outdated. His answer was no. He claimed that raising our ask at this point would be a sign of bad faith bargaining, I respectfully disagree. If you want more, now is the time to speak up and be heard.

Pub events are to coach you that $2 pier was a huge success. That our union win against the company regarding hotels was a win, but compensation... open your eyes. The crap they are settling to now should give you some kind of insight as to the TA we will see. Completely consessionary. These pub events are no different than the road shows spirit had pushing their subpar contract. If you are not a hard no vote from the emails you’ve been gettin then I don’t know what to say... until they go back on the crap they’ve already agreed to... hard no here. We are in a consessionary contract already. Why should we agree to more? Hard no, ready to walk

Is that a serious question? The proposal that your union sent to your inbox last week. I'll cool my jets, when you pull your head out of your *** and show a little situational awareness.

If you read the email, it says the union already rejected the company's proposal.

True. But the company isn't obligated to submit any more proposals. We don't have any more meetings scheduled. We are currently sitting idle with negotiations. All we can do is ask the NMB to set a deadline, which isn't guaranteed.

It’s awfully easy to assume the rest of the NC’s proposal stinks when you’re looking at it out of context. The Company cherry-picked very few ALPA proposals (which was part of a comprehensive proposal) that would cost them the least money to buy the appearance that they’re bargaining. In reality they were “gimmes” by our union because the rest of our proposal is industry standard. The company took the union “gimmes” and filled the rest of their proposal with garbage. No one is voting yes on anything close to those numbers. And they’ll be no 15 year CA pay scale unless years 1-12 are industry standard. If they want to pay years 13-15 higher than industry standard, I think we’re all ok with that.
