This isn’t really a mystery. We have numbers on the value of our vacation based on current dropped credit through the vacation bidding process. I hear what your saying about the company adjusting the sequences in order to take from that credit. It wasn’t an issue when you had schedules like that and there are definite bidding strategies for it. An argument can be made our vac will become even more valuable as I’m going to drop higher value trips with the higher rigs. I can tell you our current vac is worth 10’s of millions more than current nk language. If you want the exact numbers call your rep or a nc member.

Don't know about nk's pref bid language, but I can tell you from previous experience pref bid =/= lost big chunks of time off, not even for the jr guys.

But, it doesn't matter. We're not doing prefbid this time around, and it might be 8-10 years before we ever see another contract if the current one stays at a 5yr deal.

From ALPA Daily......

Frontier Airlines spokesman Jonathan Freed provided the following statement to Denver7 concerning the labor woes: "We continue to be actively engaged in negotiations with our pilots for a new contract and continue to exchange proposals under the guidance of the National Mediation Board. We look forward to working toward an agreement that is fair, sustainable, and provides security for our collective future."

“Activly engaged”
“Continue to exchange proposals”
“Under the guidance of the National mediation board”

If we have “heard nothing” why are we not PUBICLY calling BS on this statement?

Why are we talking pref bid? You guys are getting suckered into a discussion with management trolls. They are doing nothing but messaging and preparing for you. There will be no pref bid. End of discussion. Go to NK if you want to talk pref bid.

We were simply comparing our current vacation rules with a credit style vacation bidding system. NK has this in conjunction with pref bid. Having said that point taken and this horse has been beaten to death a while ago. Moving along and thanks.

It allows pilots to pick up trips after aggressive reserve closes by just calling scheduling and taking it at straight time. Now scheduling will have to follow the VJA/JA process.
