In the end, it doesn’t even matter how I vote, cuz, like, I’m just proud to be part of the the Special Olympics new winter Sport inclusion: Airline Pilot TA voting. There are no losers, just those that participated.

“I dunno Jon, ReserveCA is favored to win this years gold in No Voting. But Mugatu, PulledBreaker, and V1Mcdoucherson have upped their game in 2018, I really think it’s a toss-up. But on the yes-vote, Motorboatin and the other 1247 Frontier Pilots might just be able to stack the “D” and hold the rest of the “No’s” at bay”.

Hey, you’re all winners, and you all deserve participation trophies. Especially the multiple-lanyard folk. Best of luck.

Are there really guys wearing multiple lanyards? Serious question.

Default Surveys said?

Will the union make available the results of the surveys that were taken twice during negotiations? I wish there was transparency between what they TELL us the surveys said and what they apparently negotiated for.

Why? Because nobody I talk to WANTS to have to work 82 hours to have to make what everybody else makes. Premium pay is ridiculous and is arguably the most expensive “work rule” of the contract. Unless you were a high credit earning golden boy over the summer you should be willing to give NOTHING for this “benefit”. I have a hunch this was a “special interest” group that lobbied for this and NOT what the surveys said.

Who's spouse would want their spouse to vote yes on this? Who wants to be married to someone who reaches for less than mediocrity and even last place?

I guess the only thing Spirit's TRO did was get themselves a contract faster. The weak d^cks at Frontier want to "do what they do" and take an award-winning reaming from a management group, once again, so the plan is to take Spirit's year-old "punitive" contract.

Why cement a new #Lowtier Airlines Industry pay stratum for Indigo?

[CoolStoryBro]A few years ago, while on IOE after work, a check airman told me it's always going to be Frontier. Always a stepping stone, always a fight, always a struggle. The old Frontier might have still been worth it, but this one is not.[CoolStoryBro]

Frontier has never failed me in realizing that I made a mistake by slacking on my application updates.

I wouldn’t say that Spirit getting TRO’d was a punishment or ended up with a “punitive contract”. Or the fact that because Frontier wasn’t TRO’d, that in itself should mean something more.

I could make an argument that the TRO helped in the end....

Pilots like to think the media “cares” about ALPA videos about how bad the company is or picketing events, or ridiculous waste of money billboards. They don’t. They do care about having their travel disrupted.

Managements screw up at Spirit, that resulted in the meltdown and the eventual TRO against the pilots, caused chaos at our airports. Straight up brawls. THAT got media attention; when south Florida women were ripping out each other’s hair extensions in a fight. From that point on investors and financial markets said “oh wait, this contract thing isn’t a rosy as we keep hearing it was”. From then on, they started to press more for when a deal was coming.

Spirit management assigned a “value” to the loss the meltdown caused them for the quarter and discussed it on investor calls. Investors saw a direct value of tiresome contentious labor negotiations.

So in the end, did we want to get a TRO. No. Do things sometimes get dirty in the process and need to happen, apparently so.

I’m glad that managements attempts to goad you guys into a TRO have FAILED miserably. But I don’t simply think the NMB will give extra points simply for that.

I know the above post wasn’t serious, but I showed my wife the AIP, and she agreed that I should vote NO...because she can do basic math! True story!
