As much as I'd like to be optimistic about this, the fact that the company showed up with $100's of millions to put on the table pretty much means we aren't getting released any time soon.

So let me get this straight, you'd rather them not show up with anything so that we can get released? Just an FYI pal, but the goal is to get a new contract, not to go on strike. This comment of yours may go down as one of the most ignorant things ever read on these boards. Relish in that while you can because I'm sure someone else will step up and put you to shame with even greater ignorance soon. 🙄

Attacking everyone on this board is counter productive.

Where exactly did I say that I WANT to strike. Don't make assumptions you clearly know nothing about.

I think it's funny that you let a post on APC get you so mad that you have to resort to insults. You should look into those anger issues. It might make your pathetic life a little more tolerable.

Thanks for the laugh. I appreciate it.

Where did you get the info about “$100’s of millions”?

If this is true I’d assume we are close. Even $100 million (not hundreds) would be an average compensation/benefits increase of over $80,000 annually. Your statement of “$100’s” implies to me it would be higher than that. If your statement is true I think we can avoid a strike. If it’s false then I’d say none of us has any clue if we will be released any time soon.

The tone of your post was one of disappointment because the company showed up and put $'s on the table, and we wouldn't be released anytime soon. You're implying that you'd like a release. I'm wondering what you think happens after we are "released" from mediation?

The company showed up and put money on the table over a 20 year pay scale.

I saw a jet blast...with NO mention of negotiations. I must have missed something too!

I think they'll still waiting on the expected week of mediation to be confirmed for early November. They cited the board member turnover in the NMB, and a personal issue with the mediator, as reasons for the delay. We are NOT unofficially iced like Spirit.

I'll save my opinions on when a potential cooling off period could start in light of these recent delays in returning to the table.
