You think if nothing got done this week it wouldn’t take that long for the union to send out an email updating us.

I appreciate all the NC has done for us. If there is one fault they have it is communicating in a timely manner. There should be a weekly update and a communication update immediately after a negotiating session. Send out a summary with details to follow, good or bad we want and need to know how its going.

In their defense, they can't just even "send out a summary" without it getting cleared by legal counsel. That said, 24 hours after the mediation session is completed should be enough time for legal to approve a summary. Hopefully something will come out soon.

The committee is doing a great job. Simmer down a bit and let them proceed without your nonsense input. They finished on Wednesday and just updated us with a very concise newsletter that obviously had a tremendous amount of thought and strategy behind its release. That was letter #31 and you think they are not good at communicating? Maybe you should reevaluate your criticism and register for the picket instead! See you all on the 7th (rain, snow, or shine)

Comparing with a previous shop, I've thought that the communication has, overall, been stellar.

Boat,
As I said I appreciate the NC. Its my opinion the communication has not always been timely. I am not the only one to have this opinion. You see it differently. Your post is true to form that no one on this board can critique of offer a recommendation that might help the process. None the less I look forward to seeing you on the 7th.
