Just a thought.
I believe the airport indicated the reduction in operations would primarily be from domestic routes. I'm thinking MCO is more diversifying of international routes than anything.

What ever the case, there will be fewer flights out of KFLL during construction.

I love how the pilots at the 2nd most profitable and fastest growing airline think we are being run out of town.

Now, I'm not saying they might not shrink a domicile, but we aren't being run out of anywhere. Every single new route Spirit announced from Orlando does not overlap with us.

It is the "whack a mole" business model. It gives the illusion of growth and expansion but in reality is just a big shuffle of resources.
I guess time will tell.
I agree with your thoughts on domiciles. However, while the company does do a massive amount of resource shuffling, we are growing. Lots of new planes next year. Shuffling around and getting bigger

This is the first post ever by this "askwhy" person. Stupid management troll. It isn't going to work. No previous posts ever. Nice try though. This is seriously what you are resorting to??? Truly pathetic.

We had 15 cancels yesterday, about 4% of our flights, So that’s a lot for a small airline. I think we have about 250 departures a day . Delta had zero cancelled yesterday.

I think I've finally figured out why an airline must have adequate reserves even when it's cheaper to just INC the crap out of any trip they need covered.

I was looking at timing out (duty day) last week, and we still had about 2 hours before the inbound we were taking out was going to arrive (in base). I called to see if they planned to replace me.

Talking to them I felt like if they had a reserve they would have used them, but they couldn't warrant enticing a 15 hour INC guy to come out since there was still a small chance it would work out with me.

Ended up cancelling.

It should be the norm. And I wish it was. But I'm not going to help these people out at all. I'll do my job per the contract, VOLs and that's it.
