So, did the company really fire a handful of probationary pilots this week over this sick letter thing!?!?!

Fired for what?

I understand the probationary period is just that, but wow.

I'd like some details.

This is straight up union busting. They are trying to incite fear, intimidate, pick off the low hanging fruit, and start a war.... a war without honor.

Yes. They have fired at least one probationary pilot (so far).

It's an interesting recruiting strategy. Let's see if it pays off.

I know of 2 confirmed, and possibly a 3rd... all yesterday.

Can you tell what exactly what they did? How mean how many times did they call in sick? Wow, they are navagating some risky waters. This is crazy.
Hopefully we hear from the NMB soon.

I'm sorry to hear this, but the same thing has happened at Atlas as things heated up.

Sucks for the new guys, but there's a lesson here! When you accept a position in an organization during times like these (negotiations) THERE WILL BE BLOOD.

The good news is that this means your team is getting to the company. They're feeling the heat and lashing out.

Good for you. Do not let up. Hold the line and get the contract you deserve.
