Do you guys really believe this management group would have come to the table now if they were meeting their new hire goals. They only reason we are discussing the cons of a AIP (not many pros know yet), is because they can’t recruit pilots. If the classes were full, why would they cough up any $$$. Heck, they cut 1600+ hours out of the January schedule for the lack of pilots. Name another time in the history of ALPA in which they have told pilots not to go to an airline? I’m not saying new hires are the problem, but they are certainly not the solution right now. Once we ratify a contract, new hires will be welcomed with open arms. Till, then, do yourself and us a favor and stay the hell away.

So you all came to work here under a substandard contract, and you now want to blame the new hires, now that’s funny.

You guys do realize that not every pilot in the united states is fully up to speed with our negotiating status. Some guys have lives outside of our day to day grumblings. The entire world doesn't revolve around this forum.

You can argue all day long that guys accepting classes delayed our deal, and I agree with you, but you shouldn't treat our new pilots like an ass. Indigo is the group whom you hate, not our fellow pilots. Grow up

There was a time I was actually paid more than a United pilot. When I was hired, it was on par with other narrow body operators. So, loopu2, be careful before you start casting stones. I would not have dreamed of coming here if ALPA was saying steer clear. Never before have they done that. Kinda telling don’t you think? But keep telling yourself it doesn’t matter.

Ok I will play. Northwest, US Airways, Spirit, and Allegiants unions all said similar things to get the word out to potential new hires. I’m sure if I keep digging I could find a time when Delta and United we’re struggling and used similar negotiating tactics. Most recently Spirit had a similar web page to us about the reality of their old contract. Yet, I don’t remember reading anything on these dang forums blaming new hires for their management dragging it out.

I don't think some of you realize how ****ty some of these regional airlines are. I'm not going to blame anyone for trying to improve their QOL or further their careers. Believe it or not, frontier is better than most regional airlines.
