Sadly you do have a point. I know two people from my class have a line next month in Orlando. Hopefully I am close.

Take home has been about $3300/mo. That’s without picking up extra flights. You can make a little more, but on first year pay it adds very slowly. Your base will play a part in this. Philly has better earnings potential from what I’ve seen. Reserves aren’t used too much and there’s usually high pay turns in Opentime. I think Chicago have similar opportunities. $3300 is a good estimate for flying the guarantee.

Training cost me a little over 2K for the 2 months. I had a private room at a crashpad that ran around $750/mo. Factor in food and alcohol from there. AirBnB is an option, but can be a little higher from what I’ve seen. You can get a shared room for probably $400/mo.

How is training for fighter guys with no 121 experience? I’ve heard Spirit is pretty fast paced, is Frontier any different?

Frontier training is better. You get 3 additional sim sessions compared to Spirit. Our training dept is probably the best part of this airline.

Awesome, I was never really considering Frontier, but the more I learn about them the more interested I get. They are based where I live (LAS), have good movement with plane orders, and 11% pay raise over the next few years.

11%?
year 1 to 2 is near double, then upgrade the following year for almost as much again....
I used to sneak out of Math class, but your actual pay growth will be substantially greater.
The Rates have growth built into them; but your earnings are based on longevity and seniority...

I think he’s referring to contract % increases. It’s 2,3,3,3% I believe?

anyone know if only having only one passport is a de-qual for the interview? I only have one, and since I was invited to interview at the end of the month, I recently applied for another one, but it wont arrive in time for the interview. I emailed the HR people but have not heard back. Thanks in advance.

They are probably scratching their heads wondering why you think you need two passports to work at Frontier.
