Congrats I guess? I dont really see 30 hour 4 days out there, but you're doing it somehow. I think there is more to this story.

To the potential new hires, this kinda thing isnt common. Which, if coming from another airline, you'd know that.

well I have 4 turns worth over 8 credit each so there’s that. There’s nothing more to the story. You don’t have to do 4 days. I find it harder to max days off with 4 days. Grid and 117 are more of a problem. There’s also plenty of 2 days over 14 credit. But yes your probably not doing that as a new hire. Several of the 2/3 year pilots I fly with are. That should be enough information for you to start maximizing your schedule because it sounds like your not.

Maybe he’s one of those captains that leave 10 minutes early “wink” and fly at green dot across the country due to turbulence. That turns a 24 hour trip into 30 hours.

for some reason I thought you said you weren’t doing premium. This makes more sense. I also think this is largely base dependent. I think the question was originally posed what could a year two guy get and I don’t think the days off and credit combos you are citing are even close to average for that situation. (Just my guess) Also are you counting days, where you come in the day before and/or leave the day after, a day off? (Think you said you were a commuter)

I haven’t done premium but I’m actually sitting slightly over 88 credit so that’s 90. I haven’t come in the day before ever and if I get stuck I still count the following day off as just that, a day off. I can be home by 730am. So it’s basically just sleep in a place I’m renting. Own room house. For the new hire line holder 16/17 days off and mid 80’s is pretty easy to do. There’s lines with that. I think that’s what r6 is trying to say here?

I also thought you said no premium, so that makes sense with what you said above. Those turns are nice when you can get them. Although doing a lot of turns usually means time in a crash pad or hotel. But, if you can pull 30 whatever hours out of 4 days of flying, you can make up the cost of staying somewhere.

Yup. I’m calling the over 82 premium but have done zero paf. Hint. It’s much easier to fix a schedule in drop, mot, mini, then daily if you start with a 2 days or less line. Grid is pretty much a non factor. It’s almost impossible if your starting with a 4 day line. That’s Enough tricks for today. I probably just hosed myself.

Most people are figuring it out. It was only a matter of time. I've had 2 months in the last 6 where I credited 100+ on 20 days off and less than 40 block off using 10 minutes of diligence and PAF. From what I've seen on the FO side, is that they tend to get incentivized...a LOT! Never see that happening on the CA side because they get snapped up so quick. FO side, they just linger sometimes and CS keeps upping the ante.

Of course I wish I were able to pull this off every month consistently, but I haven't been so fortunate. We've all seen the FO who credited 230 hours last May, but I only play this game for QOL. Max days off for max pay. I'm not willing to kill myself.

When you gut off reserve, MOT and Mini won't be around due to PBS.
