Anyone notice that in the latest award an MCO FO was involuntarily displaced to PHL CA?

Just did. How is that possible? Are they not supposed to award positions as they stand in the bid? I know a few PHL FOs who have their bid in for PHL CA, and they are only a few numbers junior to the displaced FO.

Iím pretty sure thatís a mistake and he could have just held it as a vacancy. It went several numbers jr to him. So it should just say vacancy next to his name. Itís either that or the entire bid will need to be re-run. You never know how somebodies bid looks but I canít see a way an involuntary to phl captain from a somewhat senior mco fo is possible without a bunch of involuntary displacements below him?

The other possibility is he held Mia captain on the initial bid then was displaced on a secondary or tertiary bid which weíre not published. The bottom line is all bidding is system seniority. Thereís no base protections.

I wasnít implying we had base protections. And that is exactly what happened, previous MIA CA award displaced to PHL CA.
