Just did. How is that possible? Are they not supposed to award positions as they stand in the bid? I know a few PHL FOs who have their bid in for PHL CA, and they are only a few numbers junior to the displaced FO.

I’m pretty sure that’s a mistake and he could have just held it as a vacancy. It went several numbers jr to him. So it should just say vacancy next to his name. It’s either that or the entire bid will need to be re-run. You never know how somebodies bid looks but I can’t see a way an involuntary to phl captain from a somewhat senior mco fo is possible without a bunch of involuntary displacements below him?

The other possibility is he held Mia captain on the initial bid then was displaced on a secondary or tertiary bid which we’re not published. The bottom line is all bidding is system seniority. There’s no base protections.

I wasn’t implying we had base protections. And that is exactly what happened, previous MIA CA award displaced to PHL CA.
