I think it’s going to be split into two payments, somewhat like our ratification “bonus.” The majority paid out initially with the remainder coming a few months later. The first payment might be as early as March. But like Aero said, with some adjustments, “wait until a bunch of new self-parking Teslas are outside the Sim building and then you’ll know.”
The second payment is two years away and it’s roughly 20%. Deferred compensation irs law. To prevent insiders from dumping thier stock in say dec then January. You can thank Enron for that.

Very explanatory, thanks.
So, for the purpose of Airline Apps I guess I'll use my logged PIC flight time under 61.51 instead of my time as the PIC under 1.1 and I'll just be entirely upfront about it on my resume (and try to get some face time at an event)
Or, should I go piddle around in a C152 to make up the difference because that's some valuable PIC experience, being the guy signed for a $15,000 aircraft.

Sorry, "turbine time," excluding, of course, the turboshaft helicopter engine.
My real question is, which type of PIC? Part 61.51 sole-manipulator PIC or aircraft commander PIC?
I don't want to lie about it, but I certainly want my application to get pulled without 500 hours of 121 PIC (1-3 years away).

Are you responsible/briefed PC for the Aircraft? = PIC
That’s it.
I’m a pretty nice guy, but if I had someone in front if me and they had to use a reg to explain why they logged the time they did... it probably wouldn’t go well.

I’m gonna guess numbers aren’t as important as quality of the flight time, experience, length of experience, education, and recommendations. Too many variables for a good answer, but I’m no expert either. Just an opinion.

Without informing the applicant ahead of time in the job description/requirements or similar place, how do you justify that?

Easy. If the applicant is worried about the validity of their PIC experience it will show. You’ve either been in command or you haven’t. If a person in an interview is told, “TMAAT you exercised your authority as PIC.” And the applicant starts citing regs as to WHY he was the PIC and not HOW he was the PIC it’s going to tell me a lot about that person’s experience.

Again, if you have to use a reg to justify your PIC experience, that’s an issue.

I think the only person that can answer the question as to what number to fill in a box is the applicant. I haven’t seen the app, but if it asks only “Total PIC” I would mark down every hour I’ve logged as PIC. Some may be solo, some may be as a CFI. some may be as a 121 or 135 Captain, some may be 91 corporate. The point I’m making is the interviewer will be able to discern whether or not the applicant’s PIC is of the quality they are looking for.
