Understood. Just mentioned it so pilots could understand how it was possible. We have quite a few pilots that donít know this.

I see that tow Vegas captains were involuntary displaced, how can that happened? The base did not shrink, so how could someone senior get displaced into Vegas and that trigger a displacement out of people from Vegas?

Is this a rhetorical question? As in: you know the answer, but you donít like it?

If a person gets bumped from a domicile, he can use his seniority to bid to another domicile that his seniority can hold. A vacancy in the domicile is not required. If it so happens that the Company is not simultaneously expanding the domicile, somebodyís going to be displaced from domicile #2.

Taking it to the next level, if the folks displaced from LAS are senior enough to bump the junior guy out of PHL and the Company isnít expanding PHL, a couple of PHL pilots could be displaced to MIA (or whatever their seniority can hold).

I believe ALPA refers to this system (honoring seniority) as a ďbump and flushĒ system of displacements.

Surely you donít think a 13 year guy from Denver should *have* to go to MIA when people almost a decade junior to him are holding LAS.

That's actually a great idea. That'd help make up for the way the contract turned out.

Definitely not a rhetorical question, but an honest. I didnít think you could get bid out of your base, unless the base shrunk. I thought if involuntary displaced it would find you a home in order of your bid, but where an opening was available not force people out of their base. Now I know it works this way.

You can't be "bid" out of your base. But you can be displaced.

Default Crashpads/hotels/etc...

Hey everyone, Iíll have an April class date with Frontier. Not sure if the exact date yet. Pretty excited from what Iíve been reading! Just wondering if anyone knows what past trainees have been doing for lodging while there? Iíve been looking at air bnbs and hotels a little bit. I understand a list gets sent out before class of everyoneís name and email, but I wanted to start looking now. Thanks!
