CBT? Computer based? How’s that different from the status quo

I'm fairly certain that just about everybody from the January class made it through the type ride (and they haven't left for other airlines). Are we just catching up on hiring? Maybe some of the Tomas Cook airplanes were anticipated to be here by now?

I think you have to add the captain and fo numbers to get the class total.

Yes, computer based. Said to anticipate one day in DEN followed by 10 at home with self study. Doesn’t look like it will be happening based on the email I got last night. Looks like the regular footprint. They also moved the class up from April 6th to April 1st.

isn't it. Of note the MEC blast from yesterday has hiring estimates up around 20% from the previous goals (363 v 300) and 163 upgrades vs 125.
Perhaps Airbus has other plans for the sims in the middle of the year and they want to make a big push, followed by the traditional summer crawl and picking up again in winter. We'll know in late December :-)
Good news all around though.. Congratulations to our new joiners!!

Word from the company is to continuously hire throughout the summer and keep upgrades going.

Yup. Ual looking at furloughs. According to one of their jumpseaters anyhow. They did announce a reduction of 10% domestic and 20% international.
