Regarding the April class shift... I heard, (can someone corroborate?), that because of slight overstaffing they decided to do a class of ~20 instead of 36 and moved the difference to the later class, ...wait for it... with pay! Could this really be true? Good for you guys that are impacted, if it is true.

It would be the "right" thing to do considering some might've already given their notice and been told their services were no longer needed. I hope Frontier did do this!

I’m not trying to start a contract argument here but it sounds like they could’ve been done already. The writing was on the wall...they offered the pilots Spirit and the pilots accepted. They offered the FA’s the same, the FA’s rejected it. Hopefully their patience pays. We will have a better idea after this all plays out if we made the right move in settling vs waiting them out.

@ CG, Zoo, and Aero:
I agree with you. I'm pretty happy, too. It's just that my happiness is derived from knowing that my finances are better and I'm managing my life and finances in such a way that I'm not counting on my job for fulfillment or happiness.
I don't mean to be splitting hairs here or arguing with you at all because I think I'm pretty much in agreement with you all. I'm just a bit gun-shy based on the way management has been over the past 2-3 years. I don't believe it's in their nature to just turn it off because they got a good deal on a contract.
I'm pretty content and make a conscious effort to NOT be a buzz kill for all the smiling faces at work. It's just my nature to be very slow in changing my opinion of people (our management) after they've kicked me in the teeth (and elsewhere even less pleasant) for many years.
I'm not from the Show Me state, but I can certainly relate to the sentiment!

Has any else heard more about the company compensating those who were moved after being confirmed in the April class to the May class? Though I don’t expect the company to pay those during the month of April nor are they required, but it would say a lot about the organization if they did.
Definition of counterintuitive IMHO....

It’s nuts that the company is compensating those that have probably already submitted their two weeks to previous employers?

The word from the training department is HR has been shoving people down training’s throat trying to make 40 people classes. They finally said no and cut 10 people or something with the reasoning they didn’t want to pay them to wait a month with pay for Sim sessions. Hope that helps.
