Hello, quick question. New 121 guy here...If I already have a type rating on a320 what happen at the end of the airline groundschool? do I have to take oral and checkride again? What are the considerations in this case?

You will have the same oral and checkride. Only difference for you will be that there won’t be any paperwork for a temporary airman certificate. I could be wrong, but there may also be one or two items that you don’t have to do on the checkride if you’re already typed. Long story short, it’s the same ride.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back after a MTC event? (ive heard people who get the email for the cog test 2 hours after, and some 48 hours after) No one I know of from our group has been emailed yet. It was on a Friday, so I am guessing it wont be till tomorrow when they get us in their system? The captain I reviewed with said he says yes and I should receive the email with the personality and cognitive test next.
